(Medeshi)- The Cholera that had started in Togdheer region earlier this year has now reached the capital city - Hargiesa.
Somaliland- 13 cases of watery diarrhea/Cholera were reported today in #Hargeisa with no casualties. Most of the cases were in Mohamed Mooge district where the street children and orphans were among the most affected, according to our reliable sources.
Burao updates:
- Upto 3,000 persons were admitted to hospitals in the month of May 2017
- Less than 1% of these patients have died.
- The former Burao nursing school has been turned into a temporary hospital because the general hospital is overwhelmed by people affected by the drought or the Cholera.
- Canadian emergency responsive group have been successful to set up tents and are delivering emergency relief effectively.
- The situation is not yet under control.
