(Medeshi)- Video - Sheikh Mukhtar Rabow declares that he has left al Shabaab militants and is having talks with the Somali government.
He has also said that he was one of the founders of Al Shabaab group.
He based his defection on differences in ideology between him and others in the group on how to serve the people of Somalia. He said that he left Al Shabaab 5 years and 7 months ago and that he had been living in the bushes all that time and had faced several attempts of assassinations.
Mr. Rabow thanked the government of Somalia on how he was warmly welcomed in Mogadishu and that he hopes to have a successful discussion with the government .
